Fish Fry

Held every Thursday from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM at Stubbs Diamond Plaza in the Bight, the Fish Fry is a place to sample local food and drinks and experience live music.

At the Turks and Caicos Fish Fry, you’ll find a number of stalls featuring local artists selling handmade crafts ranging from jewelry to art, as well as imported clothing and gifts, all inspired by the Turks and Caicos. You can also sample a wide range of Turks and Caicos and Caribbean cuisine foods from local restaurants. The menus include island favorites, such as peas and rice, crab, lobster, conch made in a variety of ways, mac and cheese, corn, and much more. The highlight is the fried fish—a favorite dish in Turks and Caicos—that gives the event its name.

Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club

Located on Providenciales, the gateway to The Turks & Caicos Islands, the 18-hole championship golf course of Royal Turks & Caicos Golf Club has twice been voted the 4th Best Caribbean Golf Course by USA Today’s 10 Best Reader’s Choice.

Cultural Exploration

Learn about the island’s history and local culture by visiting small villages or speaking with residents. You might also find local art and crafts to take home as souvenirs.

Island Day Trips

While it’s a relatively small country, the Turks and Caicos comprises different islands that each offer their own unique atmosphere. Over the last two decades, Providenciales has seen a tourism boom, with the development and construction to match. The less-populated islands haven’t changed much over the years, though, and offer a rare glimpse into the old way of life. A day trip to one of the other inhabited islands, such as North Caicos, Middle Caicos, or Grand Turk, is a tranquil and fascinating experience.
